For some, country music can be repetitive. For others, it's a good time waiting to happen. For Nashville recording artist, Grayson May, country music is a way of life.
The music that Grayson grew up on gives nostalgic vibes of the rodeo, a bass boat, and a smoke filled honky tonk. Grayson grew up in Bastrop, Louisiana with his dad being a pastor and his mom being a school teacher. He was raised to have a morally strong work ethic, and he was taught to do everything to the best of his ability. Grayson played organized basketball from age three to age eighteen, and he still enjoys playing today.
A love for country music is what makes up Grayson's life. He has played with acts such as Neal McCoy, Dylan Scott, Lorrie Morgan, and many more. In 2023, Grayson was nominated in four NELA Music Awards categories. 2024 came with more achievements as he, alongside Flying Heart Brewing & Pub, walked away winning the NELA Music Awards' event of the year. Grayson is widely influenced by names such as Cody Johnson, Zach Top, George Strait, and Keith Whitley. He can really work a crowd by including many great sing-alongs and heart-felt songs.
Grayson builds his life around a love for Jesus Christ and the motto "no backup plan." When these two things combine, he believes anything is possible. When asked what he thinks the future will hold, this was his response: "The future is looking great right now. God has really done something amazing in my life by allowing me do what I love, and it shows no sign of stopping. I'm always looking forward to getting on that stage and giving it my all, and that will never change.
